Die Welle is based on the real experience of Ron Jones, a history teacher in Palo Alto in 1968. Jones attempted to teach his students the realities of fascism through a classroom lesson. Ultimately, this exercise divided the student body and illustrated the frightening power of conformity, exclusion, and indifference. After the film, there will be Q&A and a post-show discussion with Jones and the students from this class experiment.
