Iron Man captures for the stage Amir Gutfreund’s acclaimed novel Our Holocaust. Winner of the 2007 Teatroneto, Iron Man follows thirteen-year-old Amir as he tries to unearth the stories of the many Holocaust survivors in his neighborhood. Set in a small neighborhood in the north of Israel in the 1970’s, Amir’s quest for knowledge results in adventures both funny and alarming. In the beginning the adults try to shield him from the past but once the floodgates open, Amir begins a journey that turns his world upside down. Written and performed by Moshe Ferster. Adapted for the stage and directed by Udi Ben-Seadia.
