A Strategy for Combating the Phenomena of Holocaust Denial
A Lecture by Professor Ephraim Kaye

Monday, March 8, 2010
7:30 p.m.
Congregation B’nai Shalom
74 Eckley Lane
Walnut Creek

Ephraim Kaye, the Director of the International Seminars at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, will lead a seminar that will show how we can put together a strategy to combat the phenomenon of what he terms “the new anti-Semitism” - Holocaust denial.

Whether it is termed “Holocaust Revisionism,” “Holocaust Relativism,” or “Holocaust Reversal”, this phenomenon is now spreading in Iran and the Arab World as well as parts of Western Europe. Deniers have presented lectures at American college campuses and “denial” is also associated with attacks on the State of Israel.. Kaye’s presentation will focus on the identity of the deniers, how Holocaust denial began and the major issues that deniers raise in their propaganda.

Ephraim Kaye has taught courses on the Holocaust throughout Israel and has led trips to Poland for high school students, graduates of the Yad Vashem seminars and IDF Officers. In addition, he is the author of numerous books and articles on the Holocaust and Holocaust education.
