Defiance
San Francisco Community Screening
Tuesday, January 27
7:15 pm
Sundance Kabuki Cinema
1881 Post Street, San Francisco
Join us for a community screening of the new film Defiance, based on the true story of the courageous efforts of the Bielski Partisans during the Holocaust. This group of Jewish resistance fighters banded together in the forests of Western Belorussia (Belarus) to fight the Germans and their collaborators, and provided a safe-haven for Jewish women, children, and the elderly. After the screening, a discussion will be led by Mitch Braff, Executive Director of Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation (JPEF).
