Community Conversation with Peter Balakian

Scholar and best-selling author Peter Balakian will discuss the newly translated book, Armenian Golgotha, a dramatic and comprehensive eyewitness account of the first modern genocide. Peter Balakian is also well known for his past works, Black Dog of Fate and The Burning Tigris: The Armenian Genocide and America's Response. He is the recipient of many awards, including the Raphael Lemkin Prize and a Guggenheim Fellowship. He holds a Ph.D. in American Civilization from Brown University and teaches at Colgate University, where he is a Donald M. and Constance H. Rebar Professor of the Humanities.
