This Kibbutz Theatre production is based on the international bestselling book, Address Unknown, by Katherine Kressman Taylor. When the book Address Unknown first appeared in Story magazine in 1938, it became an immediate social phenomenon and literary sensation. After it was published as a book in 1939, it was banned in Nazi Germany, while garnering high praise in the United States and much of Europe.

The book consists of a series of fictional letters between a Jewish art dealer living in San Francisco and his former business partner, who has returned to Germany. Address Unknown is a haunting tale of enormous power and enduring impact.
