The Holocaust Center of Northern California is the Bay Area’s primary resource for Holocaust education. HCNC is dedicated to educating young and old alike about the consequences of racism and indifference, and the lessons of tolerance that can be gleaned from learning about the Holocaust.

The Center works with public school districts, private schools, Jewish day and supplementary schools, and individual educators to design curriculum and lesson plans, and to provide specialized teacher training and consultation.

HCNC’s University level library complete with an extensive archive of correspondence, periodicals, artifacts and rare books serves as a unique teaching resource. To help us reach out to thousands of students HCNC also makes available curriculum guides, books, DVDs, films, slides, maps, and posters to make history come alive and to assist educators in making their classrooms a place where students are challenged and encouraged to be active learners.
