Day of Learning

"The Day of Learning was an experience for me which I cannot describe. To see such a large group of people come to a program that indirectly paid tribute to the memory of my sister and parents, was a very emotional experience for me…surviving as a hidden child was only possible because strangers decided not to be bystanders but instead risk their lives to do right where wrong was being done. My story is not about me but about the incredible people who opened their doors to me and gave me the support I needed to survive. I hope I got that message across…"

Louis de Groot (Holocaust Survivor)
